Multicarrier PA and Power Control Loop
This program consisted of modifying an existing 100W VHF PA design to be capable of operating at several maximum operating output power levels (16, 50, 100 W), and to incorporate an automatic output power control loop to vary the gain of the PA to maintain the set output power level over a wide range of input power levels and modulation conditions. The program effort included providing expertise in RF system design, feedback loop modeling and detailed linear and nonlinear circuit simulations. |
