L1/L2 GPS Receiver Front End This project consisted of designing a dual channel L1/L2 receiver front end for a single board dual frequency GPS receiver. The design implemented the front end LNA, RF amplifiers, custom RF ceramic filters, mixer, LO and reference clock PLL Synthesizers, IF amplifiers, SAW filter, LC IF filters, discrete component AGC stages and IF A/D blocks. The final deliverable was an RF front end design which is currently being used in a high performance commercially marketed 24 channel L1/L2 GPS receiver. The design effort included RF system design, with specific emphasis on gain and bandwidth analysis. This was followed with detailed circuit simulations and design work, and engineering and pre-production prototypes. For this work the client provided schematic entry, layout and technical support to ensure compatibility and continuity with their existing design, documentation and manufacturing process. |
