L Band Amplified Signal Combiner This
project required developing a signal processing architecture and associated
circuits to implement an active signal multiplexer for unsynchronized
multiple L Band TDMA/FDMA SATCOM channels over a common single antenna. Unique
technical challenges included using both high speed time and very low IMD
frequency domain transmit signal combining, high speed transmit signal
detection and path switching for the multiple Tx
signals, fast Tx/Rx switching and spectrum
preserving high power linear LDMOS amplification. Critical spectral mask, IMD, output power
level, noise figure and filter performance requirements were met to achieve
government regulatory, industry and RTCA standards. |
